Admissions, Funding and Fees

At present the earliest your child can join us is in the term of their 3rd birthday. Please call in and see Nicky about putting your child’s name on our waiting list, which you can do from birth onwards.

Local Authority funding is available for a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks a year, starting from the term after your child’s third birthday. Our sessions are 2.5 hours long and we can offer up to six sessions per week. Sessions can also be shared between two different childcare providers.  Plymouth City Council has more information on their ‘Early learning and childcare places’ page.

In order to secure funding you will be asked to complete a ‘Parent Declaration’ form at the beginning of each term.

Session Fees
For those children who are not entitled to funded places or choose not to use funding at Toad Hall, our fees are payable per half-term in advance. We regret that fees can not be refunded if your child is away from the pre-school at any time.

The current fee per session is £13, and cheques should be made payable to ‘Toad Hall Pre-school‘. Alternatively, we can accept childcare vouchers from various schemes as payment for places – please contact us or see Nicky for further details. Please note: from the beginning of the Summer Term 2019 this fee will be rising to £13.50 per session.

Lunch Club Fees
The fees for the Lunch Club are currently £5 per day, and are also payable per half-term in advance. Again, we regret that fees can not be refunded if your child misses a club session for any reason. If your child is receiving the local authority funding, you are can to use any spare hours you may have towards the cost of the lunch club.
